Harry Potter Night

Room 7 lately had a Harry Potter night. We had a quiz and a feast. All the kids who came had an excellent time. We also did a limbo and the best dressed. It was a cool night for the adults to they had some wine and talked most of the time. Personally I think the Harry Potter night went very well.

Athletics

Yesterday we had our syndicate athletics. The 11 year old boy went and did long distance Ben watts won that. We went and had lots of fun at high jump Ben watts also won that. The sprints came up we did lots of racers and again Ben watts won.The coits came but I was bad at that but that was okay. Luke Rose won that.It was now the tennis ball throw that lachie Mcnae won. It was then high jump and Ben Watts won that to.It was now the relays but we didn''t win any of those but every won still had a good day.

Harry Potter Night

We are organising a Harry potter Night we are going to make a treat and make a weird name for it. Mine is called snapes magic cookies. we are also making a play it is meant to be Harry Potter puppet pals. We are also going to dress up as our favourite characters I am going as Hagrot I will try get a bit taller and get a wig and some sheep wool as the beard.It is going to be really fun.

Clock work

I love the Clock work book.My favourite bits are when he gives his heart to his clockwork son Florian.Another part is when the Baron jumps out of the sledge to save the Florian and Prince Otto. I also enjoyed it when sir Iron soul killed Karlbecause it was a suspense part of the story..This story includes suspense, love, horror, courage, fear and evil.You should read this excellent book.

Speeches

Our class have to do speeches they have to be 2 to 5 minutes. I am doing a speech on whaling, I didn't know we had to do it until Monday so I was a bit behind. I have been rushing through my speech now which I think is annoying because we need it in by Thursday. I hope mine is good.

Totara trading

On the 20th of august we had our syndicate class trading day. I sold a cake and all of my group sold something . We made more than three thousand class dollars which was a lot. We were all happy about how much we all made but we did not buy anything.

Winter sport

Hi my name is Quinn yesterday on the 24 of August I played miniball.we left at 11.45 we won all of our games except one we drew to the other central team it was 8 all because the games were only 5 minutes long with no half time.

Soccer

In the weekend on saturday we played soccer.It was 1.0 It was an own goal by us.last time we vs them it was 7.0 so we inproved.

Inquiry

Ronan Max and I are making a car we are going to make a drag racer with two big wheels at the back and a small wheel at the front it will go a bit longer than a four wheeler car because it doesn't have as much friction.I hope it will wok well.

Dumb Duck

Today on the way to the library we sore a very fat duck.Luke went up behind it and splat a very sloppy poo came out that cave him a fright we started to go and try to pat him and then it started to snap so we went inside and did not play with it.

Amazing Race

A few days ago we had our syndicate amazing race. we first sorted out what the places were and where to go.Then we went up the centre of NZ. later we found out we had missed one but we weren't bothered by that.We got down and ran to Queens gardens to. Next it was Founders park and Miyazu gardens to solve more clues. I was very excited because the train track was right next door so we walked along that and got some points.We reached the side of Trafalgar park and went round town to the hub and fresh choice.We sprinted up the Cathedral steps getting the following points for the clues. We were on the final run down past NMIT and got the rata sign .We sprinted across the front Field to room1 .We were there and it seemed like no time at all. Our score was 840 the highest score was 960.

I am going to tell you how bad rubbish dumps are and what they do to the world .I wonder How we can think of any way so it is beater for the environment.Rubbish dumps are bad for the world .They pollute the water and their gasses pollute the worlds atmosphere.we have got to think of another way to try and process the rubbish.The dump that goes from Japan to Hawaii under water is really bad because it is just floating on the water. It's so bad because it gets out of the dumps and chemicals get into the water and nobody can swim in it.Again this is very bad and we have got to do something different before it is to late.It will affect the world badly and we will not be able to stop it.

Soccer

On Saturday we had our game in Takaka my mum drove Max Sam Sean and I we got there just on time. When the game started we scored pretty quickly and then soon after that we scored another. In the second half Max was goalie and they got two directs one agonisingly flew in to the very corner. Max dived and was so close with his skills but the shot was just to good. Sam got a direct penalty and bang 3-1 we win Yes! the drive back was boring but we stopped at Toad hall. Max had a sleep over.

Swimming at riverside.

Hello me and my class went for a swim at riverside. We had to swim some lengths I swam 32 lengths and I swam the most in my class .Then we had half an hour to muck around we played basketball and we just jumped in the pool. We got to play around I the play ground for a bit and when we got back to school we went home.

My tramping trip

Hi my name is Quinn and in the Holidays dad my brother and I went on a tramp we started of at aniseed valley swimming hole.The first day we walked to Browning's hut with was fun but tiered and the walk was about 3 hours it was not that long. The next day we walked to rocks hut that was very step at the start but it got hard it was 5 hours the next day we walked home and that was a 6 hour walk.

findout wednesday

Hello my name is Quinn and tomorrow we are going to show our home work and we are going to have awards for the best findout . my findout is about boxer dogs and my other findout is about boat safety and everyone is going to show one .we are also going to have a pizza lunch and I am very excited because we are having our buddy class and my perants are coming

Hi my name is Quinn and yesterday we had our swimming I was very existed when it was time for me to do 1 length fretsile I got up on the starting plat form and off we go I was going prettyfarst I was catching people In front of me I was there all of a sudden I was at the end theed that was good for me. after that it was the medley race in the water we go I was I the lead doing buterfly when I terned arond I was doing backstrok down the lane now was ganig my lead now I got to the other end and Now I was Doing brestroke then terned and it was the final sprit I new I was going to win it yay i was there.

Hi my name is Quinn in the weekend I did The weet-bix tryathalon we got our bikes on the stand then when it was my tern to get to the starting line we were off we were running onto the bike we go we were biking when I finished biking I went for another runwhen I got to the end I was doodild.

tryathlon

yesterday I did the school tryathlon when it was my race I was very neovers when dave slaped the slapers we where off down willow walk when we got to the back feild i got the sthick it was very annoying but I kept going we got into the swimming pool i felt a little bit better I ran to the bikes and i jumped on it i was very fast on the bike and i got over the finsh line finaly im there. by Quinn
